I recently took part in the blog tour for Through the Barricades by Denise Deegan, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I LOVED it. I reached out to the author to ask if she would like to be interviewed on my blog, and she said yes!
Don’t forget to enter the GIVEAWAY for a chance to WIN a paperback copy of the book (open INT!).
I recently read and LOVED Seven Steps to Happiness by Stella Newman (giving it 5*!), so I’m delighted to interview her today on Confessions of a Book Geek, AND host a giveaway for FIVE paperback copies of the book (UK only). I’m also going to giveaway an eBook copy for my INT readers!
I recently read and reviewed The Double Life of Mistress Kit Kavanagh, and I LOVED it, giving it 5* (which everyone knows is a rating that I rarely give!). I contacted the author, Marina Fiorato, who kindly agreed to be interviewed, and her Publisher has also offered a copy of the book for me to give away (open to UK & Ireland residents only)!
I recently read and reviewed The Second Love of My Life, and reached out to its debut author, Victoria Walters, to interview her for my blog.
Today, I’d like to welcome author Coreena McBurnie to Confessions of a Book Geek! Coreena is offering an eBook of her new release, Prophecy, in the giveaway at the end of this post!
One of the first ARCs I received when I started blogging was A Girl Called Fearless by Catherine Linka. I really enjoyed the first novel, and was super excited for the sequel, A Girl Undone (you should definitely check out my review, I basically reviewed it with the author!). I ended up corresponding with Catherine, and invited her to be interviewed on Confessions of a Book Geek.
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway to win an eBook of A Girl Called Fearless!
What do you first think of when someone says “talking animals”? I’ll bet you have images of fuzzy huggables like Peter Rabbit, The Jungle Book — or, if you’re thinking about more recent examples, maybe Phillip Pullman’s drunk bear Iorik Byrnison.
All these examples have one thing in common – they’re mostly for kids. None of them are characters you’d think of as catering to adults, right? Somehow talking animals easily sound like a childish device, as something we grow out of. But should we?
Cuddlebuggery have created a Last List Blog Hop to help authors who were previously signed with Egmont find new homes and promote their books. As soon as I spotted their post I signed up, hoping to help. I was paired with Bree Despain, author of The Dark Divine series and the Into The Dark series, and I got to ask her some questions.
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway to win a signed copy of Shadow Prince!
I buddy-read and joint-reviewed Before I Go by Colleen Oakley with Brandie from Brandie is a Book Junkie. We both thoroughly enjoyed this heart-breaking read – so much so that I felt compelled to Tweet the author to let her know I was in desperate need of tissues, and it was all her fault. Thankfully, she took it well, and even agreed to be interviewed, and was kind enough to offer a hardback of Before I Go for giveaway (US only, sorry peeps!).
I read and reviewed Louder Than Words by Iris St. Clair back in September, and I really enjoyed this story – in fact it has stayed with me, as I often think of Ellen and Rex and wonder what they’re getting up to. This is definitely a book that deserves more recognition.
Today, not only do I get to interview the author, but I also get to host a very special international giveaway – the winner not only gets an eBook of Louder Than Words, but also gets to name a character in the follow-up companion novel!
I’d like to welcome the author of Losing It All to the blog today – Marsha Cornelius is guest-posting on multiple POVs, which we all know I love in my books, and is also kindly offering a giveaway to Confessions of a Book Geek readers! We have three eBook copies up-for-grabs internationally, and also one signed paperback copy for US only!

I am completely (over) excited today to bring you an exclusive interview with none other than Diane Chamberlain! Diane writes excellent adult fiction, family-drama-based “issues” books, that are always auto-buy reads for me, and I couldn’t be happier to be interviewing her on my blog!
So, this month I’m taking part in Sci-Fi November – an event that, for me, includes reading and reviewing books that fall into the Sci-Fi genre, and today I’m also bringing you an interview with award-winning Sci-Fi author, Ian Sales!
Today, we welcome to the blog author, C.D. Gorri, who talks about writing paranormal fiction after publishing two new novels this year in her teen Werewolf series.
