So, my reading is still going along nicely, but my blogging is a little dippy… I’ve been busy with work, but I’m fully planning lots of scheduling this weekend! Let’s do it! A fab development last month (no, not just my Birthday!), was me getting my first physical review copies direct from the publisher (thanks, Walker Books!). It honestly feels like such an achievement, and as someone who prefers physical books to eBooks, I’m quite excited (sorry, NetGalley!).
The Books:
This month I received Illuminae from my new #OTSPSecretSister. The storytelling method is SUCH a different concept for me, and I’m so curious to read it!
I’ve pre-ordered Harry Potter and The Cursed Child (the rehearsal edition – and I will be getting the final edition too…). I’m SO excited for it, but I can’t help but wish it was a novel rather than a play…
My Amazon order came in! I got Nice Girls (Still) Don’t Get The Corner Office (you know I love me some professional development!), Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell (HUGE but I’ve heard such great things), Zeroes (sounds like XMen, I’m sold!), Brooklyn (because I have a “thing” about reading the book before seeing the movie), Yes Please and Second Chance Summer. I basically checked out which books I’ve been thinking about getting and ranked them with price lowest first. I managed to get books that are rarely cheap for great prices!
My TBR pile has now literally reached EPIC proportions! I’m putting myself on a kind-of-book-buying-ban until I can get some of these bad boys read!
Movies and TV Shows:
I’m still watching Shadowhunters every week with the fab Dani @ Dani Reviews Things. Netflix also put up Seasons 1-8 of The Big Bang Theory. Ahhhh… Yep, that’s why I haven’t been blogging so much. I got to Season 4 in a week. I’m currently half-way through Season 8.

In Case You Missed It:
This month I reviewed Queen of Shadows (4/5) and Twenty Questions For Gloria (3.5/5).
Also this month, I posted permanent Discount Codes that are exclusive to Confessions of a Book Geek readers, and wrote two posts about life Before Blogging and After Blogging, Is Bigger Better? and Is Bigger Better? Part 2. I’m going to do more posts this month about BB and AB.
My most popular post/page in February was my Bookish and Blogging Resolutions for 2016.
How is your 2016 going so far? Let me know what you’ve been up to!
I think I might actuallt have Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. I saw a bit of the TV adaptation but not enough to spoil the book. Enjoy Brooklyn, it’s a gorgeous book.

I spotted the TV adaptation but didn’t want to watch it before giving the book a go as I’d heard good things. Then I bought the book and realised what size it is and panicked, and THEN heard bad reviews. Sigh. I’ll get to it some day lol Brooklyn is another one I need to read before I allow myself to see the movie, that one seems more accessible though so hopefully I get to it sooner. So, aside from books, how are you doing?? I saw on Instagram you were up in my neck of the woods not so long ago! It was so strange and exciting when I saw you had tagged near me, it was like two parallel universes coming together lol R xx

Look at you getting physical review copies like a big time blogger! That is quite exciting, especially if you prefer physical books. I do and don’t, I have a weird relationship with physical books, but that’s probably something to save for a discussion post or something because I have a lot of thoughts on that.
It looks like you’ve had a good month, you don’t need to be blogging all the time. I like blogging binges where you churn out about 5 posts in a day and then preceded to ignore your blogs existence for a fortnight (I’ve done it, it’s strangely nice).
And I could show you pictures of my TBR pile and it would probably cast a large shadow over yours. I have epically failed at my book buying ban and I think I may have just stopped caring. I have a lot of books to read, that’s not a bad thing. I just worry that I’ll buy books I’m interested in reading and by the time I get around to them I’ll have moved on from that book.

I KNOW, I’M SO EXCITED. Although now I’m gathering a few of them and I need to actually sit down and read them! I’m definitely preferring physical ARCs to eARCs though! So that’s a bonus. You HAVE to write that discussion post, I’m SO intrigued! What is this weird relationship?? Tell me more?!
I’ve written up 4 reviews so far today, and hope to get a discussion or two done tomorrow. So hopefully by the end of this weekend I’ll have April sorted, which would be nice! R xx

Aw, thanks for the mention!! I’m glad I can help motivate you. 🙂
Big Bang is my favorite. I get sucked into a marathon and then I can forget reading all together. Even my daughter loves to watch it. She thinks Sheldon is hilarious.
