Sharing the Bloggy Love <3

There are many things I love about blogging. I love the fact it has re-introduced me to reading. I love that I can share feels, and hype, and my bookish obsessions with other like-minded people, I love the great discussions, and memes and all sorts of other informative, and witty, and wonderful posts out there. I spend quite a bit of time reading and blogging, and when I’m not doing that, I spend quite a lot of time reading other people’s blogs.

I was browsing my Bloglovin’ feed last week and realised just how many blogs I follow, and how many blogs I lurk on (a confession many of us had in the most recent Top Ten Tuesday!). I might not always leave comments or interact with the blogger on Twitter but I am regularly reading posts, so I’ve decided I want to share the bloggy love. I can’t list every blog I follow in one post – well I could, but it would be a ridiculously long post – so, I’m going to break it up and share a Bloggy Love post as a regular feature. First up, we have the A’s and B’s:

A

A Fool's Ingenuity HeaderA Fool’s Ingenuity – Becky can have a really dry sense of humour that I love, and I rarely miss a weekly update. She’s taking part in the Sex Me Up Readathon and I’m really looking forward to seeing what she reads and checking out her reviews and posts for that week. I also recommend her post on binge-reading (I’m a big binger too!). Oh, and I can basically “blame” her for my recent purchase of 4 of the 6 Study Series books!

a kernel of nonsense buttonA Kernel of Nonsense – I really enjoy Alicia’s Top Ten Tuesday posts, when we get to delve a little deeper into the blogger behind the blog (she keeps all of her library receipts for no known reason!). Her reviews are really great for someone who likes them short ‘n’ snappy, and I always check out her book hauls.

Conversations of a Reading AddictConversations of a Reading Addict – This falls in with the a’s because it’s listed as, “A mostly YA book blog” in my Bloglovin’ feed. Siobhan has been writing all the reviews lately and I have quite a few I need to catch-up on. Her 20 Questions posts are definitely worth checking out, where she gives us an insight into Industry by interviewing a variety of publishing professionals!

A Reader of Fictions – I love checking out Christina’s month in review posts, that girl reads a lot in a month! And the “I Will Go Down With This Ship” section always brings a smile to my face. If you haven’t already seen her Cover Snark feature, you’re massively missing out! It’s really comprehensive, usually hilarious and for some reason I really love voting on the polls at the end! I also never miss a Top Ten Tuesday, I love me some TTT.

A World of Reviews – I always try to keep up-to-date with Elen, checking out her Top Ten Tuesday posts (can you tell I LOVE this meme?!), Stacking the Shelves and reviews. She has a really unique feature that discusses Welsh mythology and I’m slightly in love with her blog header and layout.

Allodoxophobia – Firstly, I love this blog name, and secondly the girls over at Allodoxophobia are genuinely lovely. I really like the sense of humour on this blog, and as per usual follow all those TTT posts. You should also check out Behind the Scenes and say a big congratulations to Christina!!

B

Between the Lines ButtonBetween the Lines – Trish does a great feature called Green Giants that focuses on Irish authors (who I should really read more of!) and I regularly check out her reviews and discussion posts like What’s Your Goodreads Number? and You Know You’re a Bookworm When… I also envy her blog organisation skillz.

Bitches with Books – Claire went to YALC recently (lucky thing!) and IBitches with Books Button was really interested in seeing what she thought about it, especially after all of the BEA posts I got to be jealous over, so now there’s a UK-based one I can get green about too. She writes a lot of great posts, as well as reviews, on topics like 5 worlds she’d like to live in and well-read jaunts.

Blog of Erised – Any Harry Potter fan who doesn’t get this blog name – I’m sorry, we can no longer be friends! Ula’s blog regularly gives me a HP-related fix, and theBlog of Erised Button Freebie Friday posts mean I’m always adding to my kindle purchases (while never actually reading them…). She recently did a great job hosting Mental Health Awareness Month with Leah from Uncorked Thoughts, and is currently collecting data for a Blog Content Survey, so go fill it out!

Book Badger ButtonBook Badger – Amanda was one of the first bloggers I interacted with when I started out, and she was super friendly, welcoming and encouraging! She has so much great content and features, and you can tell she is bursting with even more at all times, I need some of that mojo to wear off on me! I always check out her In Bed With Badger posts, and although I don’t participate in the Five Friday Favourites meme as often as I used to, I always read them.

Book Revels ButtonBook Revels – I love Ellie’s blog header and the designed elements in her posts always look great. Aside from my Top Ten Tuesday weakness and obsession, I also really like the Hype Machine feature where she discusses books she loved and her musings posts, which usually indulge my love of gifs and make me :D.

Book Blog Bake ButtonBook. Blog. Bake – I really like catching up with Stormy during her weekly wrap-ups and I always check out her reviews, she uses a traffic light system, so if it’s a book I plan to read and don’t want to know too much about, I still check if she gave it red, amber or green. I also love her discussions like I Side Eye Long Books and The Reading Police Do Not Exist, personal favourites!

Books and Cleverness ButtonBooks and Cleverness – As always, I love Emily’s Top Ten Tuesday posts, and her Week in Review feature. She has a really distinctive blog-design and I really like her butterfly rating system. I was inspired by her Before I Blogged feature and considered something similar for my blog, but I have difficulty enough with my schedule as it is!

Books of Amber ButtonBooks of Amber – I’m a big fan of Amber’s blog layout and always check out her star ratings on reviews for some TBR inspiration. She incorporates modern reads and classic texts, and with my on-going Classics struggle, I always check out her classic reviews. I love browsing her book hauls and even though they’re really bad for me and my unread book piles, I also nosy at the new releases posts.

Brandie is a Book Junkie ButtonBrandie is a Book Junkie – Another blogger I think/hope is taking part in the Sex Me Up Readathon! I always read Brandie’s Bookish and Not So Bookish Thoughts, her Stacking the Shelves posts, monthly recaps and reviews (though there are a few reviews I can’t read yet because I have to read the book first, so they are waiting for me in my Bloglovin’ reader and I’ll comment like crazy when the time comes, so brace yourself for feels, fangirling and obsessing like 6 months from now, Brandie!).

*Phew* I’m all linked out for today, next time I do a Bloggy Love post I’ll be featuring C-G so keep an eye out for that (maybe in two weeks??). Where possible, I’ve tried to include a button for the blogs mentioned, if I’ve somehow overlooked yours please let me know. Have you discovered any great new blogs through this post??

  3. Wow, I feel kind of honoured to be included with such great blogs, and these are only the a’s and b’s, I now must methodically browse each of these blogs I don’t follow, because there is no such things as following too many blogs on bloglovin. Well, there is, but I’ll figure out that problem when I come to it

      1. I’m completely the same. Every Sunday I have a million tabs open after visiting Oh, The Books! and I always worry my computer may rebel at the 20+ tabs I have open. It hasn’t happened yet be we shall see. And that is such a smart way to manage your follow list though, not point having a blog you don’t follow taking up time when you’re not enjoying it anymore. I obviously need to get more organised, but I’m so lazy it’s not gonna happen anytime soon.
