SYNC was super successful in 2014, so they are back with a *bang* for another year! Starting May 7th 2015, SYNC will give away two complete audiobook downloads for free each week – a current young adult title along with a thematically paired classic. Sign up for email or text alerts and be the first to know when new titles are available to download! Each title is only available to download for 7 days, but the best bit is once it’s downloaded, it’s yours to keep!
The titles are delivered through the OverDrive Media Console; I have this on my smartphone and tablet and already use it to “borrow” eBooks from my local library. Below is the full list of titles available, each title is linked to the download page on SYNC, and you can click here for samples of each one.
- May 7: Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl and Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
- May 14: Dodger by Terry Pratchett and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

I participated last year and one of my favourites was CRUEL BEAUTY (though it got deleted on my phone *cries*). Honestly though I’m not quite excited for this year’s lineup but I might check out Great Expectations and the Anne Frank one.

I participated last year too and downloaded a few but didn’t listen to any of them. I’m not an audiobook person, or at least I haven’t found one to convert me yet, but I share this enthusiastically because free books?! I’m planning to start walking in the evenings though and think I’ll try them again for that. R x

Well, I must be living in the dark, because I did not know about Sync. *palm slaps forehead* Beautiful Creatures, Crows and Cards, and Monster look good to me.

I stumbled upon it last year, and HAD to share it, because even though I’m not a big audio fan, I know many people are and how can we say no to lots of free audiobooks? Let me know if you download any and what you think of them! R x

I’ve signed up but now I’m crying because the first book wasn’t even available to be downloaded for Australians. LIFE IS NOT FAIR. *stamps foot* 😉
