New Feature: Babes and Books!

Babes and Books Feature

Recently on the blog I’ve been getting into doing quite a few joint-reads and conversational reviews. These used to be one-offs I’d do with other bloggers when we had a book on our TBRs we were both excited about, but with two bloggers in particular, regular joint reviews and shared fan-girling started to sound like a really great idea. A couple of excitable Twitter chats later and we spontaneously launched a Goodreads group called Confessions of the Read Handed Book Junkies… Can you guess who’s in this group?

Yeah, we thought the group name was pretty smart 😉

Basically, the group page allows us to communicate so easily, and keep our discussions and TBR piles organised. We’ll be doing a lot more of these “conversational” reviews (to see what these look like check out our group review of Never Never and Before I Go). Although there are three of us in the group, sometimes only two of us will be reading and reviewing certain books, it just depends on our schedules and interests.

We played around with what to call these reviews so they stand out from our normal individual ones, and we’re going with Babes and Books (it’s a bit tongue-in-cheek!). We literally have random and long-winded conversations about a book we’re reading and then edit the word-vomit into something others can read! Of course, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we’re all still open to doing buddy reads and joint reviews outside of our Babes and Books feature.
