Top Ten Books On My Xmas Wishlist
My picks for today are books that I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on from my Goodreads wish-list shelf (and I may even self-gift in the sales!).
1. Ten Tiny Breaths by K A Tucker – New Adult has definitely become a firm favourite of mine in 2014, and this series seems to be getting rave reviews from bloggers whose opinions I trust!
2. Attachments by Rainbow Rowell – Rowell became hugely popular in 2014, and I still haven’t picked up one of her books yet, the synopsis of Attachments appeals to me the most, so if I’m making the jump, it’s this one I’ll pick up.
3. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – It feels like there isn’t a blogger alive who doesn’t love this series. I really enjoyed The Wolves of Mercy Falls, and everyone seems to enjoy The Raven Cycle series more, so I wouldn’t mind finding this under the tree.
4. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein – I love me some historical fiction, and I especially love WW2 fiction, and as this one is getting so much love, it seems like a safe choice!
5. Easy by Tamara Webber – Another New Adult series that is getting a lot of attention, and one I don’t think I’d have desired if it wasn’t for the great reviews I’ve seen.
6 & 7. Hopeless and Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover – I have so much love for this woman, it’s a little ridiculous. All of her new releases for 2015 are on my pre-order-auto-buy-now list, and I want to gather up her back catalogue too, so this seems as good a place as any to start. Though I do wish Simon & Schuster would stick with the US covers… Le sigh.
8. Legend by Marie Lu – A book that sounds intriguing that I may not pick up unless it’s something I receive as a gift – do you ever have books like that? This seems to be getting a lot of attention though, so it’s maybe worth splashing out on?
9. Proxy by Alex London – I absolutely love the premise and concept for this novel/series, and would love to sink my teeth into it in the new year.
10. The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay – With a current Goodreads average rating of 4.44, and everyone who’s read it telling me the writing is gorgeous and guaranteed to make you ugly-cry, this is book I’m really looking forward to. Plus I kind of love the melted ice cream cover…
What books would you love to find under your tree? Link me up or let me know in the comments! Merry Christmas, Book Geeks!
The Raven Boys is a must! And I adored Code Name Verity, it’s very different to any WW2 book I’ve read and I know I’ll never forget it. It’s a long time since I read Easy but I know I loved it back then. And I think you’ll love Hopeless (it’s my fav CoHo) and The Sea of Tranquility. Basically I’m giving all your books my seal of approval 🙂 I need to read Legend yet though but I love Les Mis so I have high hopes for this series too.

Stef at Caught Read Handed has sent me the first two books – looking forward to getting stuck into them! I love WW2 fiction, I just picked up the companion novel for £2 from The Book People (Rose Under Fire – I forgot the name there lol) so now need to source Code Name Verity for a good price, or see if I can borrow it. If I love it, I’ll buy a copy. I’m going to try and use the library more this year, but I’m lazy and usually just read library eBooks from OverDrive if they’re available. If Hopeless is your fav CoHo that says a lot! Definitely want to get to more of her backlist this year, as well as all of her new releases, the woman has been a writing machine! Haha – I need to get to this list ASAP if you approve of them all! What’s the connection with Legend and Les Mis?? Again, I picked up book 2 in that series for £2 from TBP – they’re so smart selling sequels cheap because now I need to get my hands on the other ones! R x

If you liked the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, then I think you’ll definitely like the Raven Boys! It’s got a similar fantasy twist to it and I think the story is even more unique and interesting in this newer series. I hope Santa brings everything on your list! 🙂

I’ve heard so many good things about Easy, it has to go on my TBR for 2015! Stefani has made a deal with me for The Raven Boys, apparently she wants me to read it! Lol one of the many reasons I LOVE blogging! Excited for it because EVERYONE who even remotely liked Mercy Falls says it’s better. I got Rose Under Fire today, so I’ll need to pick up Code Name Verity in the new year! Excited for all of the reading I want to do!! R x

The premise for Attachments is so cute! I’m hoping it’ll be as good as it sounds. Legend is a great, fast-paced read, too.

I have Sea of Tranquility on my list too, I’ve heard nothing but amazing things and really want to read it. Had stared at the cover so much this year, but have only just realised the white stuff is a yogurt and not just two faces silhouetted, haha. I really enjoyed Easy, way more than I thought I would and I still need to get to the companion novel. So many good books on your list, I hope you find at least some of them under your tree this year 🙂
