Bookish Deals and Discounts #2 Massive Bank Holiday Savings

Exclusive Book Discount Codes

I’ve previously written for my love of Bookish Deals and Discounts here, and I’m going to stick with sharing discount codes and offers for the online stores I use most frequently (though if you know of any other codes and promos for other stores please include them in the comments!).

I know I’m double-posting but we have some very tasty offers available this weekend only! (Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th May).

The Book People: based in the UK but deliver internationally, The Book People have great collections and if you dig around a little you’re likely to find some great reads at rock bottom prices (Cinder for £3.49, anyone?).

01-Cinder-high-resThey used to announce that they would be doing promotions over “x” number of days, but not reveal what those promotions were until the day itself (free delivery, free gift, a certain % off). During this time you wouldn’t know which day you should be purchasing on to get the best deal for you – which understandably pissed some people off. So, this weekend they are running three promotions and they have kindly warned us in advance of what they are – Saturday 24th 15% off, Sunday 25th 12% off and Monday 26th 10% off. No brainer really. The discount codes will be displayed on the homepage for each day.

Bonus Saving: Make your purchase through Quidco for an additional 7% off your order (in cashback). Quidco is free to sign up to, and when I make a purchase online I always check if the company is listed on Quidco first. The Book People rarely offer a discount on their website and a decent Quidco offer together, so might be worth picking up that book you’ve had your eye on (normal Quidco cashback rate is around 2%).

The Works: based in the UK but deliver internationally, The Works are brilliant for their “6 fiction books for £10” deal and you’re sure to snap up a book or crafty bargain.

Game of Thrones Book SetThey are currently offering 30% off across their website (excluding promotional deals like the one mentioned above) when you enter “BLUEX” at the checkout (probably worth noting they have the Game of Thrones 7 book set for just £32.99 – £23.09 with 30% off).

Bonus Saving: Make your purchase through Quidco for an additional (huge) 21% cashback on all sales (including all promotions). So if you get 6 books for £10 you’ll save 21%. If you get something like the Game of Thrones set, you’ll save 30% off the full price of £32.99, making it £23.09, and get an additional 21% cashback on that price, bringing it down to just £18.65. That’s £2.60 per book!

Do you know of any other deals happening this Bank Holiday weekend? Do you plan to take advantage of these offers? Let me know if you purchase anything in the comments!
