It’s no biggie. Confessions of a Book Geek has just been in existence for a pretty impressive FOUR YEARS.
I’m not gonna lie guys and gals, there were times when I thought I wouldn’t make it this far. For anyone currently blissfully unaware, adulting is HARD. Work gets busy, life gets busy, education gets busy, and before you know it you can barely find the time to read let alone blog about books. BUT, I really do love book blogging, and the community, so even though I don’t post 3 to 5 times a week like I used to back at the start (HA, I WISH!). I’m still here, and I still pop up in your news feed from time-to-time.
And this time, I bring pressies!
To celebrate my little corner of the Internet turning four, I’m giving away some goodies. Namely, three of my favourite books ever, and one that’s part of a series I’m looking forward to. The giveaway for physical books is UK only, but don’t worry, I have an extra one for all of my international peoples.
The links to enter the giveaways are below, but first a few important blogging numbers:
354 – The number of book reviews I have written on this blog.
1,802 – The number of email and Bloglovin’ followers who care what I write about.
7,733 – The number of comments on my blog from having conversations with you.
83,649 – The number of you who have visited me on the internet.
Thank you to each and every one of you.

Wow, congrats on 4 years!!! Those numbers are so impressive! I love looking at those kinds of stats on my blog. It’s so rewarding seeing the numbers go up! I honestly don’t even know what book I would opt for if I won the giveaway. Probably Catching Fire, and Mockingjay too if I found it for cheap enough!

I’m not sure if it’s under $10, but I’ve been wanting to buy the sequel to Spellslinger from Book Depository. Or the Ravenclaw edition of HP & the Philosopher’s Stone.

Congrats! It gives me hope that I can also figure out how to juggle adulting and blogging in the long run. (The slump is real right now…) How long do you think you’ll keep blogging? I figure I have a few more years in me.
As for book choices… On the Other Side by Carrie sounds great, and I haven’t yet got King’s Cage, so that would be my second choice! Oh, and I need to pick a TBD book… Um… How about The City of Brass?

It’s definitely possible to juggle, as long as you manage your expectations. When I first started I had big aims to grow the blog, and while that would be nice, my priorities have shifted and my mind set had to play catch-up! There have been a couple of times I’ve debated if it’s possible to keep going, but I’ve put too much into it to walk away completely. I can’t see me not blogging for the foreseeable, and if it ever did happen, it would probably be a natural thing as opposed to a conscious decision! There may be times where I blog more than others in life, so I’m just keeping a presence on the blog, and seeing what the future holds!
Good choices 😉 I haven’t heard about The City of Brass though, am I missing out? R xx

I’m finally, finally, getting around to writing a comment on here. I cannot believe it’s been four years of blogging and I’ve been following you for a while now. It’s crazy stuff! Congratulations, that’s a big milestone.
I figure I have to enter this competition, you have turned for and I want to celebrate with you. I wouldn’t even know where to start with a TBD book… probably a fantasy read, like a Sharon Shinn book or Gail Carriger. I am a terrible decision maker. As or the 4 UK books, The Nightingale for sure and than maybe Carrie’s book because I’ve heard good things or the White Queen because my friend keeps going on about it. She’s wearing me down to read I’m telling you.

Four years has LITERALLY flown by! Not gonna lie, proud that the site is still going, even if I can’t post as much as I used to. Really hope you enjoy The Nightingale and The White Queen. Both are fabulous and come highly recommended by me, so excited to see what you make of them! R xx

Happy bloggoversary! 4 years is amazing accomplishment 🙂 And believe me, I know the struggle of adult lives, I almost stopped blogging last year, it is hard to organize the time properly. Moreover, I jave just browsed your blog and really liked it so you just gained new follower and not only because of giveaway 😉
And in the case I win, I would porbably choose a pre-order o paperback international copy of Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness.
