Book Bloggers You Should Be Following

Book Bloggers You Should Be Following

Once upon a time, I created a series of posts called “Sharing the Bloggy Love”, where I talked about my favourite book blogs. As a blogger, I follow A LOT of blogs, so each one of these posts only featured a handful at a time, in alphabetical order. From memory, I barely made it halfway through the alphabet.

I’ve been blogging for three years now, and in that time we’ve lost, and gained, some great Book Blogs, so I’ve decided to compile a list of my ultimates – the ones you should really be following.

Cathy at 746 Books

746 Books

Cathy is a self-confessed book buying addict. Or at least she was, before she started 746Books. She’s on a one-woman mission to read all of the books she owns before she’s allowed to buy more. I am in awe of her willpower. She also hosts Reading Ireland Month every March, and we found out we live in the same town. A meet-up hasn’t happened. Yet.

Becky at A Fool's Ingenuity

A Fool’s Ingenuity

Becky reads voraciously! I’m regularly envious of her numbers in her WEEKLY wrap-ups, and she shares insightful reviews, as well as some interesting discussion pieces. She also likes to spend time in the pub. She’s my kinda girl.

Alicia at A Kernel of Nonsense

A Kernel of Nonsense

Alicia is a fab blogger all the way from the US of A. She doesn’t post them often (she’s trying to be good), but I love to check out her book hauls. Alicia is also co-founder of The Transatlantic Book Project, which has almost completed its first cycle.

Trish at Between My Lines

Between My Lines

Trish is my book-rating-twin from Ireland (our reading tastes are SO similar, we’re practically the same person). Her beautiful blog has great reviews, an A to Z of blogging tips, and promotes Irish authors with the feature Green Giants.

Bibliodaze

Supposedly Bibliodaze has more than one contributor, but any article I read is always written by the eloquent and wonderfully-worded, Ceilidh. She used to have a profile photo, which would have looked wonderful. But, alas, it wasn’t there when I went hunting for it. Articulate. Book-loving. Journalism.

Laura at Boats Against the Current

Boats Against the Current

Laura’s blog has a super clean, and pleasing on the eye, layout (which always impresses me!), and she writes some very thoughtful pieces and discussion posts that are worth checking out.

Brandie at Brandie is a Book Junkie

Brandie Is A Book Junkie

Brandie is Bae. She shares fab book reviews, but also fills us in on what’s happening in her life, with her peanut (AKA her daughter – who is adorable), and she keeps me inspired with her fitness journey. Oh, and we both adore Colleen Hoover.

Lindsey at Bring My Books

Bring My Books

Lindsey at Bring My Books is LIFE GOALS. She’s a Manager of a Bookstore, oozes effortless cool, and is genuinely such a lovely and fab person. She reads widely, so you can get great recs from her, and her blog seems to be undergoing a makeover at the minute… watch this space!

Stef at Caught Read Handed

Caught Read Handed

Stef has been a little quiet on the blogging front lately, but I’m hoping she’ll make a comeback soon. She’s still active on Twitter and Instagram, and I highly recommend checking out her blog for fab reviews and wrap-ups.

Dani at Dani Reviews Things

Dani Reviews Things

Dani is quite simply a fabulous human being, who was my Secret Sister the first time I took part in the project. She reviews books and movies on her blog, and is always on-top of the latest releases. I WILL meet this girl someday.

Nicole at Feed Your Fiction Addiction

Feed Your Fiction Addiction

Nicole is the mastermind behind the Monthly Wrap-Up Round-Up and the annual Discussion Challenge (both of which I take part in, when I can remember to link up on time!). Her blog is full of great reviews, and some very well thought out discussions that are worth reading!

Joy at Joyous Reads

Joyous Reads

Joy has a personal library that could give Belle shelf-envy. Her book haul photos are delicious, her opinions informed, and her reviews insightful. You could want nothing more from a Book Blog.

Holly at Nut Free Nerd

Nut Free Nerd

Holly reads from a wide variety of genres, so you will find everything from YA contemporaries to (the dreaded!) Classics on her blog. She writes reviews and Top Ten Tuesday’s, as well as discussions on heavier topics depending on what she’s studying at College. An insightful read!

Cait at Paper Fury

Paper Fury

Cait is an Australian blogger who has developed a really unique voice – both on her blog, and visually on her Instagram. She may call her readers “pineapples” from time-to-time, but the humour peppered throughout her posts has become her trademark. Great for original lists, rants, and snark.

Charnell at Reviews From a Bookworm

Reviews From A Bookworm

Charnell is in the enviable position of being a Library Manager in real life, so she literally is always surrounded by books. Her blog is full of reviews and great posts, but her Instagram has become drool-worthy. And yes, that is her (playfully) attacking author, Pierce Brown, in her photo.

Simon at Savidge Reads

Savidge Reads

Simon works in Publishing (swoon) and has a great YouTube channel (he should have been included in my list of BookTubers you should be subscribed to, but alas, I didn’t know of him back then). His reading tastes are varied, but he reads quite a few prize winners and more literary-type books, so I feel like he keeps me on my toes and stretches my boundaries (and I’m pretty sure my brain grows a little bit with every video of his I watch).

Brittany at The Book Addict's Guide

The Book Addict’s Guide

Brittany is a seriously busy-bee, and I can’t quite figure out how she has the time to fit in all of her accomplishments (it must be sorcery!). In addition to running a fabulous blog, she is also a co-founder of The OTSP Secret Sister Project, and runs her own literary-inspired candle business. Phew!

Tara at The Librarian Who Doesn't Say Shhh

The Librarian Who Doesn’t Say Shhh!

Tara is my inner qualification-geek soulmate. Her Degrees have Degrees. As well as being super smart, her academic background and experiences bring a certain edge to her opinions and views on books, that I don’t think you can find easily elsewhere, and on top of that, they’re very entertaining.

Amber at The Mile Long Bookshelf

The Mile Long Bookshelf

Amber may seem like a “younger” blogger, but don’t let that innocent face fool you! She has been blogging for over 10 years, and brings a wealth of maturity, blogging knowledge, and experience to the community. With a passion for mental health awareness, and a pretty well-publicised crowdfunding campaign under her belt – she’s sure to go far with her skills, personality, and resourcefulness!

Blog | Twitter | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Goodreads

Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner

The Perpetual Page Turner

Jamie is a Book Blogging veteran, with the super-popular Top Ten Tuesday meme being her brain-child (along with the Annual Book Survey that many of us complete). Not only does she write great reviews and bookish content, but she shares a lot about her personal life and experiences on her blog, which I always enjoy reading.

It would be impossible for me to list and write about all of the wonderful Book Bloggers in the community, so please feel free to link to your favourites (or your own!) in the comments. Hopefully, you’ve found some great new bookish blogs to follow! Happy reading, Book Geeks!

  2. Wow! First off, thanks for including me in this great list of bloggers—some of these are old favorites of mine and some are new to me! I now have to go spend some time traveling the blogosphere to visit some of the new-to-me blogs to find out what I’ve been missing! 🙂

  3. Thank you for including me! I’ve never thought of myself as a voracious reader but I kind of am. And yes, I do love the pub. It is the meeting place of the British… also coffee shops aren’t open after work so where else would I see friends?

I can see we have similar blog tastes but there are a couple on here I don’t follow! Now I’ve caught up on some blog reading I will definitely be checking out these new to me blogs because why not add more things to my regular reading?
