I had so many wonderful plans this weekend to schedule lots of posts, but as they say “the best laid plans of mice and men…”. I’m sticking with my latest fitness craze, and while that’s a great thing, it’s also eating into my reading and blogging time more than I thought it would. Sacrifices, eh? On a happy note though, The Script were amazing in concert, as usual.
The Books:
This month, I started picking up a few Christmas presents (yes, I like to be prepared) and in the process picked up a book or two for me as well. The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach, The Bay at Midnight by Diane Chamberlain, The Falls by Ian Rankin (Stef will be pleased!), After by Anna Todd (heard lots of good things about this one), and Shadow Study by Maria V Snyder were my picks this month, and of course… Queen of Shadows arrived today!
Movies and TV Shows:
I’ve been catching up with Once Upon A Time again this month, but haven’t been watching much else. I wish I had enough time to rewatch One Tree Hill, but I’ll get around to it eventually.

In Case You Missed It:
This was a terrible blogging month for me! I really need to do better in September! This month I reviewed Point of Retreat (4.5/5), The Sky Is Everywhere (3.5/5), I’ll Meet You There (4.5/5), and Everything, Everything (4/5).
Top Ten Tuesday – I haven’t really felt very enthusiastic about this month’s topics, except for Top Ten Autobuy Authors. Here’s hoping I’m inspired by next month’s picks, because I miss taking part in them and visiting everyone else’s.
This month I also did The Random Questions Tag, and wrote a guest post for A Way Into YA.
My most popular posts in August were my review for All The Light We Cannot See, and the interview with the cover designer for the new Bloomsbury Harry Potter covers.
How was your August? Talk to me in the comments!
I’ll be on the lookout for your The Art of Fielding review. I’ve been meaning to pick it up, but I haven’t really invested the time to read reviews of it. Anyway, I hope you’ll have a fantastic September!

Ohh, no pressure then. You know what it’s like though, Joy, I could read it this month, or three years from now! Lol but now I know you’re interested in a review, I’ll put it to the top of the list 🙂 Here’s hoping for a productive September for us both!! R x

August was a pretty slow month for me, too! Hopefully September will be a better month for me despite it being my busiest this year (wedding plans, relatives visiting, and oh, so many releases to read…). I’m so jealous that you got a copy of Queen of Shadows so easily! I checked my bookstore today for a physical copy and they were out of stock. You can’t really underestimate this fandom, I tell you, haha! Good luck with September 😀

I’ve had a slow year so far! Lol but it’s picking up a little now. I’ve noticed Throne of Glass has totally gone mainstream, the books are in grocery stores over here now! I preordered the latest one as my local bookshop were doing signed preorders. That’s as close as I get to an author lol R xx

The Script?! I love them! Yay for keeping up with your fitness!! I’m happy for you. 🙂 I’ve noticed reading and blogging have been a lot less for me these days because of my fitness efforts, too. I have been walking over lunch when I normally blog. There’s always a happy medium, we just have to find it! xx

You know who The Script are?! I didn’t know they’d gone Stateside?! Yes, I’ve been to every concert they’ve done so far, and I’ve no intentions to miss one!! Lol I would marry O’Donoghue in a heartbeat!! ❤
I'm keeping it up at 3 times a week, and I'm seeing the results, and feeling the difference – so far so good. I think I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop though, either for something to happen in my life that puts it on the backburner (because I don't know how many balls I can juggle, but usually when something comes up, something else has got to give), or because I'll wake up one day and realise I can't/don't want to do this for the rest of my life and I'll go back to the lazy slob I was before… Lol 6/7 weeks doing it now I think though, so I'm hoping it sticks. Got some new workout gear, an iPod shuffle, AND a membership. It works out a lot cheaper to be a member… With The Script I had a couple of days that weren't the healthiest, but I'm right back at it again, so hoping it doesn't have too much of a negative impact.
I am noticing though with giving time to fitness and whatnot, that I have the time to catchup in the evenings with blogs and YouTube (barely) but not much reading and blogging time… Think I'll have to cull who I follow so I can leave meaningful comments on more, but spend less time browsing for the sake of it. If you find the smiling medium out there somewhere, throw it in this direction will you?? 😀 R xxx

I haven’t felt all that inspired by TTT this month either for some reason. Hopefully I’ll feel like jumping back onto the bandwagon next month! I loved I’ll Meet You There too – glad you enjoyed it!!

Definite lack of inspiration this month, mixed with being super busy and not being motivated to schedule at weekends. Hoping that changes this week, as I have some ideas for posts, and it would be great to inject some creativity and originality into the blog again! R x
