The Random Questions Tag

I’ve been tagged SO MUCH over the past while, and I really need to sit down and do a lot of scheduling at some point. All the reviews, tags and discussion ideas are floating around my brain cells and they’re going to cause a migraine. I was tagged to do this by Joey @ Thoughts and Afterthoughts. Thanks, J!

Do you like blue cheese?

disgusted gif

Uh, no. You know what blue cheese is? It’s off. Throw it out already.

Do you own a gun?

Who invented these questions?! I need to LOL at this question, because of where I’m from. No. That’s not a thing here, unless you’re involved in some dodgy stuff.

What flavour of Kool-Aid was your favourite?

I’ve never tasted Kool-Aid. I’m from the UK. Some drinks we have here that I love are Yazoo and Sukie. Both are my go-to hangover cures, but I don’t drink them that often, because calories.

Do you get nervous before a doctor’s appointment?

Nope. I like going to the Doctor. I make a little list in my head of all the things I’ve self-diagnosed on WebMD over the past year, then we have a nice chat about them. My hypochondriac-self leaves well educated. The Doc and me are all good.

What do you think of hot dogs?

Not much. I’ll have a burger, ta.

Favourite Christmas movie?

The Santa Clause!!! There’s loads of good Christmas movies, but The Santa Clause is MY Christmas movie. Every. Single. Year. Buh-du-du-dum du-du du-du-dum.

What do you prefer to drink in the morning?

Coffee. Always coffee. I can’t speak until I’ve downed my first cup. For anyone who knows me, that says a lot.

Can you do push ups?

When I first started answering these questions (some time ago, I have scheduling issues) my first response was as above. However, while I’m still pathetic at them, I have since joined a gym (I’m claiming temporary insanity), and I would love to be able to do them properly some day if my frail little arms will let me. My new motto is “Train Like You Were Picked For The Hunger Games”. YUS!

What’s your favourite piece of jewellery?

I don’t have one favourite piece… I like fandom jewellery (bracelets and necklaces mostly), and big chunky statement necklaces for nights out. And anything that sparkles. I’m a magpie to cubic zirconia.

What’s your favourite shoe?

Converse for day time, black knee boots for any and all occasions – smaller heel for day time, BIG heels for nights out. Anything platform, black and strappy, with metal bits usually rocks my boat (buckles, zips, lace detail etc.).

Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment?

I really need to write up all those reviews. Actually, I really want to read right now. Ugh, I have so much to do for work. Should I go out this weekend, or sit in? I really need some new healthy recipes. There’s not enough time in the day. Why can’t I win the lottery and stay at home watching One Tree Hill all day? Why?!

Name 3 drinks you regularly drink?

Coffee. Tea. Pepsi Max.

Do you own slippers?

Yes, but I rarely wear them. I’m a slipper-sock kinda gal.

Favourite Colour?

Purple.

What song do you sing in the shower?

I don’t sing in the shower. I used to a long time ago. Watch me turn into an X Factor contestant on a Saturday night out though, and I usually end up getting the people around me to join in. Teamwork.

Do you love where you live?

This changes on a regular basis. I don’t love it when authors don’t do signings here, when it rains all the time, and when it feels like there’s nothing to do. I do love it when something/someone successful is from here (as we’re so small, it feels like an even bigger achievement), I do love aspects of our culture, and the “craic”, obviously.

Confession: I have seriously adapted this tag because it was so long, and honestly some of the questions resulted in lack lustre answers. I’m tagging the following people, feel free to take part or not!

Cait @ Paper Fury
Belinda @ Bookarahma
Lindsey @ Bring My Books

  1. There is no such thing as calories on a hangover day! And I’m a hypochondriac too, whenever I’m reading a book and the character has symptoms, I start to develop them too! I’m aware I’m doing it and I have to tell myself to cop on :O

And I’m so stealing this motto! “Train Like You Were Picked For The Hunger Games”
