Stacking the Shelves & Wrappin’ It Up March 2015

Stacking the Shelves

The Books:

Stacking the Shevles March 2015

I have a massive girl-crush on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, so when I spotted three of her novels – Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah on The Book People for £4.99 I could not pass those up!

I also got three books from Philippa Gregory’s Order of Darkness YA series on The Book People. I love her Cousins’ War series, and I really want to read her Tudor Court series too, and even though I’ve heard mixed reviews about her YA series, these were on offer for £4.99 so I thought I’d give them a go.

I also picked up a hardcopy of Amity and Sorrow for £1.90, three non-fiction books by Tim Harford for £2.85 that look super interesting, and Roald Dahl’s complete short stories set for adults for just £3.32.

Movies and TV Shows:

This month I’ve been watching The Originals on Netflix. I wasn’t sold on it at first, but after a few episodes it becomes as addictive as The Vampire Diaries.  I also watched The DUFF movie adaptation – I enjoyed it more than the book (check out my review of The DUFF) but thought some original elements of the book that I did enjoy shouldn’t have been left out. I also watched (and adored) Love, Rosie. It’s been a long time since I read the book, so I couldn’t compare it too accurately, but I loved the movie, even if it did put me into a single-girl depression for a couple of days! Lol!

Wrappin’ It Up!

As always, I’m linking to the latest Oh, The Books! weekly recap post so you can find more amazing things to read!

In Case You Missed It:

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight Book CoverIn January and February I managed to get through a lot of books, this slowed down a little in March, but I caught up on a lot of reviews. I’ll need to get my ass in gear and get back to reading so April isn’t empty! Check out my reviews of The Fever (2.5/5), Hopeless (4/5), Losing Hope (4/5), The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (3/5), Breathe, Annie, Breathe (3.5/5), Dumped: Stories of Women Unfriending Women (4/5), and The DUFF (2/5).

This month I also interviewed author Bree Despain, took part in the Ultimate Book Tag, asked What Is The POINT Of Pre-Ordering?!, and shared my “celeb” personality counterparts. There’s also giveaways happening because my blog is officially 1 year old! My aim for April is to post more personal and discussion posts, as March was quite review-heavy!

My most popular posts in March (except for TTT posts) were my interview with Bree Despain and my rant on the point of pre-ordering!

That’s it from me this month, looking forward to a productive April on the blog! Don’t forget to enter my 1 year blogoversary giveaway! What’s been happening in your month, Book Geeks?
