Top Ten Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR
We add like 10 books a day to our TBRs, right? Am I right?! I’m only going to mention books I’ve added to my physical TBR, which means I now own them and therefore have a far higher chance of reading them… someday. I’m posting my monthly wrap-up and haul tomorrow, so this week’s topic is bad timing! I only have 5 additional books to talk about this week.
1. To Kill A Mockingbird: Prepare to be shocked. I’ve never read this book before. The 50th Anniversary Edition was released, the cover was gorgeous, and I read a couple of pages in the store and decided to take the plunge. Lets see how this one goes. P.S I don’t know how I feel about the controversy surrounding the sequel, thoughts?
2. Confess: IT CAME! It’s 20 days later than I was expecting it but The Book Depository came through for me!! Amazon 0 – TBD 1. Did you read about my pre-order woes?
3. The Good Psychopath’s Guide To Success: This sounds like a “me” book, right? The title of this kept drawing me in at Tesco. I finally gave in yesterday and picked it up in the 2 for £7 offer along with To Kill A Mockingbird.
4. The Light of Day: I’m part of the blog tour for this book and got it this week. I read Life Interrupted by Kehoe last year and really enjoyed it, so I’m excited to try more by this author!
5. The Sky Is Everywhere: I’m reading this with Brandie and Stef for our Babes and Books feature. Really looking forward to this one, Jandy Nelson seems to be getting all the good reviews.
Have you read any of these and think I should get to them sooner rather than later? I’ll be bringing back Have Your Say to my TTT posts soon, so you can pick my next read for me – you guys never let me down!
The Sky is Everywhere was pretty amazing. I hope you’ll enjoy it, Rachel. Also, I haven’t read To Kill a Mockingbird as well, so we’re on the same boat on that front. Lol. I hope you’ll enjoy these books!

I haven’t read most classics, and honestly can’t remember TKAM at all. It was so long ago since I had to read it for school.
YES TO CONFESS. I’m so glad you finally got it!! Can’t wait to see what you think. THE ARTWORK!
What is this The Light of Day book and now I have to look it up. I love the cover.

I still have this “thing” where I want to read more of them, so even though it’s taking me forever, and there aren’t many I’ve fallen in love with yet, I’m trying! 😀
Uh, it took forever for it to get here, and I literally squealed and started it right away! I really want to buy a print of one of the pieces if I can come across one.
I did a cover reveal for it ages ago, but there’s a tour for it now as well. If you’re interested I can forward you the tour organiser’s email and you could ask to join? I’m pretty sure it’s an NA title, and the YA one I read was really good. R x

Yes I’d love to try to get on the tour! It sounds good.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the greatest books ever written, but like you, I’m so apprehensive about the sequel. I’m torn between excitement and disgust, and I honestly don’t know if I will read it. What do you think?

I’m looking forward to reading it, it seems to be one of the most accessible classics. I can see why those who love the first book would be excited by the idea of a sequel, but I find how it came about to be suspicious and I’m not sure how I feel about it. The Publisher will be cashing in big time. I think I’ll do some more research into it first to see what’s going on, because I only scratched the surface with it previously. R x

I have Confess on my TTT today, too. I need to read more Colleen Hoover.

I’ve done well working my way through her back catalogue, once I read Confess I think the only ones I have left to read by her are the Slammed series. I’m definitely a massive CoHo fan! I’ve started Confess already, loving it so far! R x

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite classics – even if I’m not so sure about the sequel, this one is definitely worth a read 😀
I’m looking forward to Confess as well; I think I’ll be reading it mid-April, but we’ll see!

I’m really looking forward to reading it! Not sure what to make of the sequel – I think even if it is a great read, how it came about is sketchy…
I’ve started Confess already, dropped everything else to read it as soon as it arrived and I’m loving it so far! R x

LOL! To Kill A Mockingbird gets SO much love – I’m half excited for it, and half petrified! The hype-monster can do crazy things. The cover was so lovely it pushed me over the edge to get it, and I read a couple of pages in the store and it seemed like a much more accessible classic, so here’s hoping! I’ll definitely review it on the blog! R x

I love your TKAM cover! I haven’t read it since high school so it’s definitely time for a reread for me…and I have mixed feelings about the sequel as well!

It’s gorgeous, right? Think they hit the nail on the head with that cover, how could I resist? I think I’ll research it more and write a post on my feelings after I review TKAM, it’s very… strange circumstances to be published under. R x

I’m really looking forward to Confess by Colleen Hoover. I’ve quite a few of her books — with Ugly Love being my favourite (so far) of hers — so I can’t wait till I can get my hands on this one. Enjoy your picks!

I can’t tell you how excited I am for Confess. WHY HAVEN’T I READ IT YET? And The Good Psychopath’s Guide to Success sounds so intriguing, I’d never heard of it before.
Happy reading 😀

It sounds pretty impressive, right? It looks like a very interactive book too! It’s by a psychologist and Andy McNabb, who is an ex SAS guy who now writes crime novels… Should be good! R x
