As well as keeping up with the book-blogs I follow (174 on Bloglovin’ and counting!), I also follow a few BookTubers and spotted a recent Easter-inspired video by WellDoneBooks which was the Chocolate Book Tag, as I don’t do YouTube vids I thought I would turn this into a tag post for us bloggers to do. I’ve posted my answers below (with linked reviews, where possible) and tagged some bloggers to see if you guys want to take part and pass it on!

Dark Chocolate (a book with dark content/theme): I’ve talked about a few of my favourites in other posts (We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn), so for this one I’m going to go with Room by Emma Donoghue.

White Chocolate (a light-hearted read): Definitely The Geography  of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith, while this wasn’t a massive favourite of mine, it was still pretty whimsical, light-hearted and enjoyable.

Milk Chocolate (a hyped/popular book you really want to read): Ahh there’s SO many. Top of my list right now are The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare, the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver (I have book 2 and 3 that I bought super cheap on offer and need to get my hands on book 1 for a good binge read), the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi (those new covers are delicious) and the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. It’s clearly all about the series’ for me right now…

Chocolate with a Caramel Centre (a book that made you feel gooey on the inside): It’s been a while since I’ve read any chick-lit or books with goo-factor. Aside from the seriously depressing feels that accompany it I have to say The Fault in Our Stars by John Green definitely made me feel gooey.

A Wafer-free Kitkat (a book that surprised you): Adaptation by Malinda Lo surprised me in a good way, it was a slow-burner and for some reason the story has stayed with me and I want to read the follow-up. Tease by Amanda Maciel surprised me in a not-so-good way, it really wasn’t what I was expecting and I have quite conflicting emotions about it, in fact I think my opinion of this book had changed since my review (the protagonist’s lack of remorse isn’t sitting well with me).

A Snickers Bar (a book you’re going “nuts” about): It’s not out yet, does that count? I can’t wait for the last instalment of the Mortal Instruments series, The City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare due out next month, and before I started blogging I really wanted to reread the first 5 (!). I might still try to make this happen.

Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream and Marshmallows (a comfort read you turn to again and again): I shouldn’t even need to answer this. It’s gonna be pretty obvious for anyone who follows me. Can you guess it yet? It’s obviously HARRY POTTER.

A Box of Chocolates (a series that has a lot of things many readers will like): This is a bit of a tough one, so many of the series I read have particular themes that not everyone is going to like. I’m going to go with the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, because honestly anyone I have recommended this to has loved it, even if it isn’t something they usually read.
